Glory extends UW series banknote sorter range

March 27, 2014

Cash management solutions provider Glory has introduced two new models in its UW range. The 12-pocket UW-700 and 16-pocket UW-800 address the needs of customers who have more complex banknote sorting requirements.

The addition of more pockets allows more processing in a single pass, increasing productivity and lowering the overall cost per note processed, the company said in a news release.

"The UW-700 and UW-800 have been developed in direct response to our customers' needs, and will assist cash processors in improving efficiency and productivity in their cash management operations," said Ed Brindley, head of global business development at Glory. "The UW-series has been designed to offer maximum flexibility with true modularity and scalability in order to meet the business and operational requirements of today and the future."

Since its launch in 2007, more than 10,000 units of the 4-pocket UW-500 and 8-pocket UW-600 have been sold to central banks, commercial banks, CITs and casinos in more than 50 countries, Glory said.
