GivePay, Genmega partner to introduce 'gifted ATMs'

GivePay Commerce has partnered with retail ATM maker Genmega to introduce the GivePay Gift Card marketplace at Genmega ATMS nationwide.

GivePay software is compatible with most legacy Genmega ATMs. The software will be showcased at the ATMIA conference, Feb. 19–21, in Orlando, Florida, where it will be demonstrated on multiple ATMs throughout the exhibit hall, according to a press release. 

The software update adds an entirely new revenue stream for Genmega ATM owners by introducing hundreds of digital gift cards and prepaid wireless products that can be purchased through the ATM and delivered instantly by text. 

Digital gift cards are sent to the recipient's smartphone and most cards can be stored in Apple Wallet or Google Pay for easy redemption. 

"Genmega is excited to offer GivePay's leading-edge gift card technology on existing and future Genmega ATMs," Wes Dunn, Genmega senior vice president of sales, said in the release. "Additional revenue sources at the ATM are good for the ATM industry as a whole and our distributor base in particular, and we believe the GivePay offering is in a league of its own."
