Atlanta Business Chronicle:Landing NCR Corp.'s headquarters has put Gwinnett County, Ga., on the map as a national destination for Fortune 500 companies. Gwinnett has for years been known as one of the fastest growing U.S. counties, an international bedroom community known for traffic, giant shopping centers and housing developments. Gwinnett reached a new level of national exposure by landing NCR. A few years ago Gwinnett began offering economic-development incentives, including tax breaks, to entice companies to relocate. Hewlett-Packard was the first company to receive concessions under the new county economic development program, followed later by Suniva and NCR.
