Gemalto intros personalized payment-card solution

VILLEPINTE, France - Digital-security provider Gemalto has introduced its end-to-end solution to enable the Internet design of personalized EMV payment cards.
Gemalto's CardLikeMe gives users an intuitive Web interface to upload pictures on their chip cards. As part of the offering, Gemalto provides financial institutions with the software solution required to process the photographs on bank Web sites and ensures complete card-personalization and fulfillment.
Once the picture is loaded on the site, users can visualize card appearance in real time and adjust photographs as necessary. The images are then approved by the FI before anorder is placed. Users also may choose pictures offered in an online gallery.
