Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc. announced that it has successfully certified all Mexican peso denominations — including the country's polymer $20 peso and $50 peso notes — on its complete family of currency recycler products including the newly released G60 unit.
"Certification of the peso, including the newer polymer notes, is absolutely essential to grow our business internationally and execute our business strategy in Latin America," said Randy Fox, general manager and director of currency handling solutions products at Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc. "Fujitsu has a 20-year history of serving the Mexican market with outstanding currency dispenser and ATM solutions. Today we are carrying on that long and proud tradition by offering OEM partner solutions to address expanding markets in Mexico like bill payment ATMs/kiosks, retail self-checkout and smart safes to manage vault cash."
To date, Fujitsu has certified more than 50 of the most popular currencies worldwide, including the most popular currencies in Latin America.
"As new business partners and smaller geographies are added in Latin America, we will continue to certify currencies to support our growth strategy and the applications strategies of our local partners," said Fox.
Fujitsu offers OEM currency dispensers, bulk currency acceptors and currency recyclers. The company's bill validation technology allows its bill recycling units to support multiple denominations from multiple countries on the same unit. The company's new G60 features four recycle cassettes, high capacity deposit and loading cassettes, and bill validation technology that enables polymer bill support.
