Fujitsu Components releases new receipt printer

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - Fujitsu Components America Inc. has announced the release of a receipt printer with an integrated cutter for mini-kiosks, point-of-sale terminals, ATMs, and scientific and medical equipment.
The thermal-print unit outputs 58mm-wide paper receipts at speeds up to 100mm per second.
According to a news release, the programmable printer supports a variety of characters and graphics as well as standard, extended and 2-D barcode symbols. It has a rated head life of 100 million pulses or 50km of paper.
Paper is inserted by drop-in roll loading using the release lever. A dedicated cutter motor provides continuous printing for 500,000 cuts.
The RoHS-compliant FTP-627USL431/435-R can be specified with either a USB or serial-interface board.
Fujitsu will be displaying some of its equipment April 25-26 during Self Service Expo in Las Vegas at booth No. 143.
