PARIS - NCR Corp.announced the rollout of 30 NCR Personas M Series 87 ATMs, with image-based Intelligent Deposit capabilities, at Crédit Agricole Martinique bank branches in France and French Guiana.
According to a news release, the initiative is part of Crédit Agricole Martinique's "New Concept Branch" project, which gives its customers more autonomy in performing everyday banking transactions. The cash or check deposit function, available with the Personas M Series line, contributed to that goal.
With the deposit-taking units in place, the bank increased available times to conduct banking transactions and offers immediate deposit credit to customer accounts.
When the NCR Personas M Series ATMs were first installed, branch employees assisted customers with transactions. Now the bank's staff only assists new users.
"What we have seen at Crédit Agricole Martinique is a testament to the widespread adoption of self-service banking," said Jeff Lutz, global sales and marketing vice president for NCR's Financial Solutions division. "These self-service projects meet a growing demand from consumers, while enabling bank employees to move toward tasks with greater added value."
