According to PSFK.com, a New York man wants to provide surcharge-free ATMs to New Yorkers in exchange for advertising. The company, Free ATMs NYC, already has one location in the Brooklyn Knitting Factory in Williamsburg, N.Y.
While customers are waiting for their transaction to process, an ad plays on the screen, and after the transaction is completed, a branded receipt or a receipt with a coupon prints.
The company's founder, Clinton Townsend, 25, thinks the arrangement is mutually beneficial to all parties involved.
