Fla.-based insurance carriers signs imaging deal with Wausau

MOSINEE, Wis. - Wausau has been selected to provide The Main Street America Group, a super regional property-casualty insurance carrier, with its end-to-end remittance solutions.
 
According to a news release, Main Street America is using Wausau's ImageRPS application for retail lockbox operations.With the lockbox solution, Main Street America has eliminated out-of-date software and hardware to better fulfill more than $850 million in direct annual insurance premiums for more 500,000 policyholders in 16 states.
 
Main Street America has also been able to take advantage of accounts receivable conversion, resulting in lower transaction fees per item processed and reduced float time. 
 
Main Street America says it has significantly improved its customer service response time since launching ImageRPS. 
 
"We were looking for a scalable remittance processing application that allows for an increase in payment volume that our previous system could not provide," said Phil Shepard, operations manager for Main Street America's Premium Services unit. "We selected the Wausau application because of Wausau's experience in the payment-processing industry, in addition to their experience and expertise around ARC.
