First Data receives Discover healthcare-processing certification

OMAHA, Neb. - First Data Corp. has been certified by Discover Financial Services to process general-acceptance healthcare transactions on the Discover Network.

First Data expects to begin processing healthcare transactions for Discover by 2007, according to a news release.
