Following the release of version 2.0 of M-TIP, the MasterCard terminal integration process, FIME has updated its services and test tools to the new standard, a press release from the company announced.
MasterCard requires acquiring banks to perform successful M-TIP testing before a new payment terminal can be deployed. FIME test tools and associated services can help acquirers verify that their contact and contactless payment implementations comply with the latest MasterCard specifications.
M-TIP 2.0 introduces a test selection engine that allows certification of dual-interface terminals through a single test plan. Acquirers now have three different certification project options: contact; contactless; and dual interface. With its introduction of an M-TIP dual-interface service, FIME can accommodate testing for each scenario.
"Deployments of mobile and contactless payment solutions are accelerating," said Stuart Miller, bank products and services business line manager at FIME. "As a result, we have restructured our technical consulting, automated test tools and certification services to simplify the terminal certification process and offer the speed, EMV expertise and flexibility required by the market. We believe our one-stop solution for acquirer certification projects will maintain FIME as the first choice for acquirers around the world."
According to the release, the automated SAVVI test platform is compliant with M-TIP 2.0, and is the only multi-brand tool available to support physical test cards and softcards. The platform provides automated testing, analysis and report generation.
