The Disability Index has named Fifth Third Bank a World's Top Disability Inclusive Business. It earned this accolade through its number of partnerships and initiatives for disability inclusivity, according to a press release.
One example of the bank's dedication is through Project SEARCH, with helps train high school students with disabilities for the workforce. This project has trained more than 425 people. The bank also offers 11 Business Resource Groups to empower employees, and the Achieving a Better Life Experience program to help disabled individuals save and invest money.
"Inclusion is about ensuring every individual has the opportunity to participate, contribute and thrive," Nate Bennett, chief inclusion officer for Fifth Third, said in the release. "Whether through our people, our products or our community partnerships, we are committed to expanding access and creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities."
