Fake Web site scams ATM cardholders in Africa

This Day (Africa): InterSwitch, Nigeria's payment-switching provider, has warned debit cardholders not to disclose their PINs to anyone under any guise. In a news release, Interswitch and 23 member banks have warned ATM users about an SMS (text message) that appeared to have originated from InterSwitch asking millions of cardholders to register their cards online on a fictitious Web site. The fraudulent site has since been shut down.
