Epson, Atris roll out printers, teller devices at Alabama bank branches

November 12, 2018

Epson America Inc. and Atris Technology, a developer of financial automation software, have completed their deployment of 250 Epson OmniLink TM-27OII-DT printers and TM-S2000 multifunction teller devices in 50 CB&S Bank branches in Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.

According to a press release, the joint Epson and Atris deployment allows the teller application to run from any device, in keeping with the thin-client computing environment currently employed at CB&S branches. The Russellville, Alabama-based community bank said the deployment has reduced standard customer transaction times to 30 seconds or less.

The initial deployment of the equipment was completed within 30 days and deployment of the more robust applications took an additional 60 days. Teller training required approximately one week.

Scott McElhiney, sales manager at Atris Technology, said one major objective of the project was to integrate check scanning technology into the bank's current infrastructure, and that the equipment was compatible with the bank's Citrix thin-client environment.
