Encore Networks, Axis Communications partner on remote surveillance solution

Encore Networks, a manufacturer of enterprise and industrial routers, has teamed with network video provider Axis Communications through that company's technology partner program.

According to a press release, the program brings together the industry's largest network of resellers, software developers, hardware manufacturers, system designers and others to deliver complete solutions to meet customers' security needs.

Initially, the Encore EN-2000 industrially hardened 4G/LTE wireless router with Wi-Fi will be used inside the T98 family of security camera cabinets to deliver either permanent or temporary portable solutions for surveillance in remote locations, even those with harsh environmental conditions, the press release said.

The rugged EN-2000 industrial broadband wireless router is certified by major carriers and uses high-speed 4G LTE networks to drive applications at significantly lower costs to the end user, according to Encore.

Enterprise customers can use 4G LTE as a primary or back-up connection, eliminating the high costs of traditional wired networks and associated challenges — including install times and outages.

As with all EN routers, the EN-2000 can be managed through the cloud using enCloud, the Encore enterprise management system.
