Encore C2C M2M wireless routers certified for ATM ISOs, IADs

March 6, 2013

Encore Networks, a provider of machine-to-machine solutions for fixed and wireless communications, has announced that it has received certification from Elan Financial Services for use of the Encore C2C M2M wireless router for IAD- and ISO-deployed ATMs.

"Elan processes transactions for over 90 ISOs and IADs nationally," said Henry Oat, director of business development for Encore Networks. "Their certification of the C2C allows us to continue our rapid expansion into the ATM transaction processing market."

The C2C is a high-availability, full-featured, broadband wireless router designed to support M2M applications. The device supports both dial-up and ethernet M2M connectivity functions, allowing the ATM deployer to migrate from plain old telephone service to cellular IP service.

By moving data to a public or private IP cellular infrastructure, the C2C provides VPN technology and SSL encryption to legacy ATMs and other M2M devices. The device is available in both industrially hardened and commercial grade models.

"Encore's family of cellular routers provides a significant update to our network capabilities, broadening the range and options for our customers and how they connect to us," said Jason Zubik, vice president of relationship management at Elan Financial Services.
