ARLINGTON, Va. - The Consumer Electronics Association has forecasted consumer electronics factory-to-dealer sales will reach $140 billion in 2006.
According to CEA market research, year-end totals in 2005 reached $128 billion, marking an 11 percent increase from 2004. Revenue from display technologies totaled $19 billion in 2005, and is expected to exceed $22 billion in 2006.
U.S. Rep to speak at CEA-sponsored trade show
Former CEA board chairman and U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., will deliver the opening address Nov. 15 at the EHX Fall 2006 trade show, sponsored by the CEA TechHome Division.
Issa will discuss energy conservation, political trends affecting U.S. businesses and necessary steps to build a successful technology company. More than 10,000 industry professionals are expected to attend the trade show, which will showcase custom electronics products from at least 350 companies.
