WESTMONT, Ill. - EFMARK Premium Armored, an ATM service provider, announced in a Sept. 20 news release that it has acquired interest in Beaverton, Ore.-based Solvport LLC. Solvport provides technical services and support for ATM and kiosk owners and operators.
"Solvport provides a hard-to-find combination of technical expertise and customer service that makes it a perfect fit for EFMARK," said Dale Dentlinger, Efmark executive vice president. "Adding Solvport's resources and geographic footprint to EFMARK's strong foundation positions us well for future growth."
Solvport provides service to more than 40,000 ATMs, offering telephone support nationwide and on-site repair in 93 metropolitan areas. The company also provides a full range of ATM equipment sales.
In addition to its expertise with independent sales organization-owned ATMs, Solvport allows Efmark to strengthen its service directly to financial institutions through Tech-Connect. Tech-Connect offers telephone support to FIs that perform their own first-line maintenance.
"While EFMARK's on-site technicians handle significant maintenance and repairs, Solvport's phone-based technical support will allow ATM owners to fix minor problems quickly when dispatching a technician would be overkill," said Wayne Vandekraak, Solvport president and chief executive.
The Solvport deal is one of several Efmark has inked. In August 2004, Efmark acquired ETAdvantage, an ATM sales and service company serving the northwestern United States.
