Diebold ranks fourth on top tech companies list

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Diebold Inc. ranked fourth on Bank Technology News' 2006 Top 10 Technology Companies to Watch list. The list, which has been compiled annually since 2002, comprises the publication's picks for top technology companies in the financial-services industry.
Diebold is the only ATM manufacturer to ever make the list, Diebold said in a news release.
Diebold says it was selected for its efforts to deliver solutions that include branch transformation.
Diebold also was recognized for its continuous commitment to security through the recent acquisition of Actcom, an identification and enterprise security firm that serves the governmental market.
