Diebold brings increased efficiency to UFCU ATM operations

Diebold Inc. is simplifying management and maintenance of more than 100 Opteva ATMs for University Federal Credit Union. The company has announced that it will deliver integrated services to enhance ATM uptime, security and compliance, while reducing demands on staff.

The introduction of newer Diebold technologies at the Austin, Texas-based CU —including deposit automation-enabled ATMs — has elevated the role of the self-service channel, and prompted the CU to simplify fleet management by turning it over to Diebold.

"With ATM oversight delegated to Diebold, our staff can direct more attention to their core responsibilities, helping us better serve our members" said Steve Kubala, senior vice president of virtual retail at UFCU

Diebold will maintain up-to-date anti-virus software, and ensure that all programs have the latest security patches through its software deployment service.

The company's OpteView Resolve monitoring solution will help identify and diagnose ATM errors, enable remote fixes and automatically deploy service technicians as needed, improving uptime for UFCU ATMs.
