Minnetonka, Minn.-based Datacard Group, a provider of secure ID and card personalization solutions, today announced that it will be presenting a session, titled "A Roadmap for Instant Issuance" at the Cardware 2012: Payment Insights conference in Ontario, Canada.
In a session on Tuesday, June 19, Mike Vaselenak, Datacard director of instant issuance in Canada will outline how card issuers can benefit from instant issuance of EMV-compliant financial cards. Vaselenak will provide case studies from financial issuers, and will also include a discussion of industry best practices and current and upcoming technology options available to card issuers.
"To stay competitive, retailers and financial institutions need to expand on their card issuance platforms and infrastructure so that they can further adapt to a faster, more flexible and secure issuance program," said Vaselenak. "One of the ways to help achieve this is by implementing an instant issuance program. This presentation will outline how instant issuance can drive incremental card usage and activation rates, while reducing certain issuer costs and the risks of sending cards and PINs through the mail."
Interested attendees who are unable to attend the CardWare 2012 event can sign up for a one-hour webinar on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, from 2:00–3:00 p.m. EST that will discuss hardware, software, support and operational features and requirements to roll out a successful instant card issuance and PIN management program.
