NCR Corp. and Taiwan-based information technology reseller recently partnered to help Cathay United Bank expand the features of its personalized ATM transactions. This latest projected followed the FI's initial rollout of APTRA Connections in March 2014, according to an announcement from NCR.
In the initial phase, the bank ran APTRA Connections software on a number of NCR SelfServ ATMs, as well as units from another vendor, to introduce the capability for customer personalization of frequently used transactions.
In this second phase launch, CUB rolled out APTRA Connections software on newly purchased NCR SelfServ 22e ATMs, as well as those from two other ATM vendors.
This phase included the introduction of new features and coverage, including:
"At the second phase, CUB is able to extend some of its service features from other channels to ATM, offering more choices and conveniences for its customers, as well as helping the bank to deliver more customer focus and effective programs to increase overall customer satisfaction," said D. I. Li, CEO of Pershing Systems Corp. "NCR APTRA Connections is easy to integrate with other third party vendors' information system, allowing CUB to continue to lead the market in offering more convenient transactions or services in response to customers' feedback."
The new services are available at ATMs installed in subway stations along the recently opened Songshan line at Taipei City.
