Credit Union 1, an Anchorage-based FI serving the entire state of Alaska, has selected ImagePoint ATM from Bluepoint Solutions for ATM check capture. Adding ImagePoint will help the $864 million CU meet the financial service needs of members who lack easy access to the institution's 14 branches, a news release said.
The implementation of ATM check capture follows a comprehensive ATM replacement project last December in which CU1 replaced its existing ATM fleet with new units from Diebold Inc.
The FI determined that ImagePoint would accommodate projected growth and the addition of further capture points in the future. Moreover, the release said, the solution delivered accelerated time-to-market capability and the capacity to integrate multiple RDC capture points into a single back-office cashletter system.
"Bluepoint helped us smoothly integrate check capture into our updated ATMs and helped our employees with the rollout across our ATM network," said Leslie Ellis, president and CEO of Credit Union 1. "As members became more comfortable with the new technology, we have seen ATM deposits increase more than 480 percent since March of this year."
"Consumer demand for greater convenience from their financial institutions continues to drive adoption for remote deposit capture points such as image-enabled ATMs," said Andrew Tilbury, chief marketing officer at Bluepoint Solutions. "We are pleased to partner with Credit Union 1 to bring this service to their members."
