CPI to launch new note recycler in early 2015

The unit offers a more efficient way to accept and dispense cash, the company says.

Crane Payment Innovations has expanded its SC product line to include note-recycling product SC Recycler, scheduled for launch in Q1 2015.

"This is an exciting time for us as we launch our new compact note recycler that is about to raise the bar for customer satisfaction," said Spiro Gjorgjievski, EVP and GM of financial services, in a press release. "SCR takes two-denomination note recycling to a whole new level offering a more efficient way to accept and dispense cash in kiosk applications."

SCR features include:

• two-denomination recycling in a compact footprint;
• up to 60-note recycling capacity per denomination;
• acceptance of a note into recycling in as little as 2.3 seconds; and
• dispense of a note for change one at a time in as little as 1.4 seconds.

CPI deployed the SCR to a limited base of 1.5 million units worldwide, the company said. SCR technology developed out of the company's vending note recycler and banknote recycler products.
