Connecticut bank joins the Allpoint surcharge-free ATM network

May 15, 2011

First County Bank, which is based in Stamford, Conn., today announced that it has joined Allpoint's surcharge-free ATM network.

With its Allpoint relationship, First County Bank complements its existing network of ATMs with unlimited fee-free cash-access transactions for its customers at Allpoint Network ATMs, officials of both companies said. First County, which has in excess of $1.3 billion in assets, operates bank-owned ATMs at its 15 Connecticut branches.

"Equally compelling to the bank, Allpoint network ATMs saturate all the right ATM locations here in Connecticut, meaning our customers are never far from surcharge-free cash access where they live, work and spend most of their time," said Rey Giallongo, the bank's president and chief operating officer.

Allpoint's ATMs are deployed in retail locations, including 7-Eleven, Target and Walgreens stores and other locations.

Allpoint, which is based in Bethesda, Md., operates a surcharge-free ATM network with more than 43,000 machines in the United States, Mexico, United Kingdom and Australia. Cardtronics Inc., a Houston-based independent ATM deployer (IAD), owns Allpoint.
