Compu-Call, Source Technologies to distribute IBM MICR printers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Source Technologies Inc., a leading provider of integrated solutions for managing financial transactions and other secure business processes, has signed a partnership with Compu-Call, an IBM printing-systems distributor.

As a partner, Compu-Call will now be a distributor for Source Technologies' line of IBM magnetic ink character recognition printers.

Source Technologies' line of IBM MICR printers include security features such as audit-trail reporting, lockable paper tray options, software and hardware password controls, and MICR-toner sensing. Those added functions are touted by the company for preventing check fraud by restricting access to blank-check stock, blocking the ability to print more than one copy of a check, and eliminating the need for pre-printed check stock.
