Collis test tool OK'd to simulate TCI test cards for JCB

UL has announced that its Collis Brand Test Tool has been qualified by JCB to simulate the terminal check for implementation test card (version 1.2). Acquirers in 24 million merchant locations across 190 countries currently accept JCB cards, a UL news release said.

"We are pleased to have the Collis Brand Test Tool qualified for simulating TCI test cards," said Fumihiko Mitsuoka, SVP of brand infrastructure and technologies at JCB. "We believe this will greatly benefit acquirers worldwide with preparation for certification of their terminals."

The Collis Brand Test Tool can simulate both contact and contactless test cards in tests mandated by JCB and six other major payment schemes. The test tool eliminates the need for physical cards that can be corrupted or lost. It also provides detailed insight into end-to-end system behavior.
