LONDON - Collis announces the launch of its EMV personalization validation tool for Visa Europe and Visa International CEMEA EMV cards. According to a news release, the EMV PVT allows card issuers to verify that their cards have been correctly personalized before the cards are issued. Compliance is checked according to EMV specification rules and requirements of payment associations such as Visa, MasterCard and JCB.
The new tool also is compliant with Visa's standard for Visa smart debit and credit transactions. With it Visa card issuers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa can speed up the development of the personalization process and shorten the time to market. The EMV PVT also can be used for sample testing.
"With the new EMV PVT, member banks of Visa Europe and CEMEA can make sure that their cards are personalized correctly," said Dirk Jan van den Heuvel, managing director of Collis. "This simplifies migration toward EMV … (and) EMV PVT avoids expensive replacements of EMV cards."
