Collis EMV PVT supports Visa Global Chip Card Validation
January 6, 2009
LEIDEN, Netherlands — Collis announced that Visa Inc. has confirmed Visa Global Chip Card Validation for the Collis EMV Personalization Validation Tool.
According to a news release, the Collis EMV PVT is designed to ensure debit and credit cards are personalized correctly. As a card issuer or personalization bureau, the Collis tool can ensure cards have been developed according to regulations from payment associations.
Issuers can check consistency between magnetic-stripe data, contact-chip data, contactless chip data and embossing data.
The new Visa module in the Collis tool implements Visa's Global Chip Card Personalization Validation version 1.0 test specification. This test specification focuses on personalization of Visa Credit, Visa Electron, Plus and dynamic passcode applications, for both contact cards (VIS 1.4) and contactless cards (VCPS 2.0, qVSDC, MSD).
"Collis' EMV Personalization Validation Tool continues to offer the latest in comprehensive testing for card personalization," said Dirk Jan van den Heuvel, Collis' chief executive. "With extensive coverage of Visa test scenarios, this test tool is a must-have for those parties who wish to ensure correct card personalization and enable worldwide acceptance."
