Collis EMV personalization validation tool supports new M/Chip Advance profile generator

September 17, 2013

UL has announced that its Collis EMV personalization validation tool provides support and full integration with the new M/Chip Advance profile generator, which generates personalization values forT M/Chip Advance applications covering all MasterCard brands.

To use the tool, the issuer enters product requirements into a user friendly "issuer feature selection" sheet. As choices are made, the tool automatically limits the remaining options of other features. When all selections are made, corresponding personalization values for all the data objects are automatically generated.

"This test tool is of great value to all its users including MasterCard member banks and card issuers," said Maxim Dyachenko, manager of service line test tools at UL Transaction Security, in the announcement. "The latest version of Collis EMV PVT (Collis EMV PVT 3.7.0) now supports and integrates the M/Chip Advance Profile Generator, plus it includes the new CPV 6 module that has recently been qualified by MasterCard."

Dyachenko said that using the Collis EMV PVT allows MasterCard issuers to speed up their personalization process and reduce time to market.

"Our customers can now benefit from using the M/Chip Advance Profile Generator and test their products in accordance with the specifications in a very fast and efficient manner," said Christian Delporte, head of product development for global chip and contactless solutions at MasterCard.

"The output file from the M/Chip Advance profile generator can be imported into the Collis EMV PVT creating a specific testing scenario for each different product. It means the time to complete the testing phase is shortened and made much easier for the end users."
