Co-Op rolls out TNS solution for ATM connectivity

January 5, 2009

RESTON, Va. — More than 1,000 Co-Op Financial Services branded credit unions in North America have signed on to use Transaction Network Services' TNSLink solution for ATMs.  The news comes just 12 months after Transaction Network Services became one of Co-Op's approved vendors.

The TNSLink solution is an end-to-end managed data communications solution designed specifically for the ATM, kiosk and POS-terminal markets. According to a news release, TNSLink, also branded as Co-Op Connect, allows processors and terminal-estate owners to use the latest telecommunications technologies for high speed data delivery without the need to replace existing, legacy equipment.
TNS worked with Co-Op to test and create secure wireless and wired broadband solutions specifically designed for credit unions.

"I am confident as our business continues to grow and change, that the suite of services provided by TNS will not only help us to meet our short-term goals but also help us in the long term as well," said Stan Hollen, president and chief executive for Co-Op.

The TNSLink solution also includes check imaging, kiosk transaction processing and remote-graphics distribution.
