Co-op adds 9 Michigan CU locations to shared branching network

November 16, 2018

Co-op Financial Services today has announced that United Federal Credit Union, a $2.6 billion Michigan-based financial cooperative, is adding nine of its branches to the Co-op Shared Branching network.

"Like many credit unions, we're focused on our members and the community, yet we are also inspired by change," Stacy Fillmore, United chief lending officer, said in a press release. "We are excited by new opportunities, particularly those that leverage technology to meet our members where they are. Co-op Shared Branching accomplishes this by giving our members the added convenience of being able to conduct transactions in a network branch while traveling or relocated for extended periods."

The Co-op Shared Branching network includes more than 5,700 locations across the United States and serves members of approximately 1,800 participating credit unions.

Shared branching allows members of participating credit unions to enter any Co-op Shared Branching location and transact as if they were in the home office of their own credit union.
