East Bay Business Times:Seven months after opening a storefront bank in Oakland's Chinatown, Wells Fargo Bank & Co. is converting the location to a full-service branch.
In addition to more bilingual tellers, Chinese-language brochures and ATM services, the expanded branch will feature fortune trees - Chinese symbols of wealth and prosperity - and paintings depicting Chinatown's history. The changes are part of a nationwide effort by Wells Fargo to strengthen its relationship and grow its accounts with minority customers.
