JPMorgan Chase introduced its Data Security Center to provide customers with information on how their data is shared with third-party apps. Customers can also control those connections, according to a press release.
Available through the Chase Mobile app, customers can see connected apps, adjust access duration, unlink apps and perform other actions. The center also offers FAQs on third-party data sharing.
"Customers should be in control of their financial data, and that starts with giving them a clear view of where it's going and straightforward tools to manage it," Melissa Feldsher, head of payments, trust and security and open banking at Chase, said in the release. "The Data Security Center empowers customers to understand what's connected, see what information is being shared and make informed decisions about those connections over time."
