Chase is launching Chase Fraud & Scam Prevention Month in November to help customers avoid fraudsters during the holiday season. It will host free workshops to raise awareness on fraud trends, according to a press release.
These workshops will be held in the lower 48 states, along with expanded digital resources on how to detect scams, such as impersonation, package delivery phishing, gift card and fake charity donations.
"Scammers are constantly adapting their tactics, making education and awareness more important than ever," Jennifer Roberts, CEO of Consumer Banking at Chase, said in the release. "For years, JPMorganChase has invested in helping consumers recognize scams, understand warning signs and feel empowered to protect themselves. Chase Fraud & Scam Prevention Month builds on that commitment by providing practical guidance that can help people make safer decisions during the holiday season."
Chase is combining these efforts with a Trusted Contact Person, where customers can designate an individual to be notified of certain transactions.
