Chase enables rewards to investment pipeline

JPMorgan Chase has expanded its Ultimate Rewards program to allow customers to Invest Your Points. With this service, customers can redeem cash for an investment into a JP Morgan Wealth Management account, according to a press release.

Customers can either redeem the points for a JPMorgan Self-Directed Investing account or work with an advisor. The Invest Your Points experience is embedded into the mobile app or website, and is available in the Ultimate Rewards earning Chase Freedom, Ink and Sapphire card portfolios.

"Our goal is to make investing more accessible, more intuitive and more connected to the way clients already handle their finances," Paul Vienick, head of online investing at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, said in the release. "Giving clients the ability to invest with Ultimate Rewards points helps them manage their financial lives — and their investments — all in one place."

The service offers access to commission-free online trades for stocks, ETFs, mutual funds and treasuries.
