Cashcard announces winner in ATM promotion

SYDNEY - First Data International announced the winner of its first nationwide Cashcard ATM promotion. The winner, Helen Hegney of Perth, entered the promotion after transacting at a Cashcard ATM located at the Supa Valu supermarket in High Wycombe, Western Australia.

According to a news release, from December 2005, consumers were offered a chance to win a new smart forfour car, valued at $26,808, when they used a Cashcard ATM. Hundreds of iPod Nanos were given away as daily prizes throughout the promotion as well, and cardholders received a special movie offer each time they transacted at a participating Cashcard ATM.

"Our aim was to increase the awareness of Cashcard ATMs in Australia, and we are delighted to reward our loyal Cashcard ATM customers," said Greg Nash, managing director of First Data in Australia, New Zealand and South Asia.   

Cashcard ATMs can be found in almost 6,000 locations in Australia.
