Cardtronics Inc. yesterday announced that it had signed an ATM-branding agreement with PNC Bank. This is the second deal Cardtronics has inked with Pittsburgh, Pa.-based PNC since June.
Unlike the earlier contract, which involved branding ATMs in Florida, the new branding agreement involves deploying ATMs throughout Indiana.
Houston-based Cardtronics and PNC announced they will deploy branded PNC ATMs in 135 CVS/pharmacy store locations throughout the state.
"PNC is always looking for innovative ways to make banking easier and more convenient for our customers," said Michael Joyce, PNC retail executive for Indiana. "With the addition of the CVS/pharmacy locations, we have strengthened our presence throughout the state with a combined 380 ATMs statewide along with 155 branch locations."
Cardtronics owns the ATMs. PNC customers can withdraw cash surcharge-free from the machines. The customers also can check account balances at the ATMs.
