Cardtronics expands ATM reach in U.K.

HERTFORDSHIRE, England — Bank Machine Ltd., owned by Cardtronics Inc., has announced a partnership with Welcome Break, a motor-service operator, for the operation of 150 ATMs across 28 sites in the United Kingdom.
"We look forward to working together with the Bank Machine team to provide the very best ATM services for our customers," said Welcome Break chief executive Rod McKie.
According to a news release, Bank Machine, under a contract previously held by Cashzone, will begin operating the ATMs for Welcome Break in February 2009. The deal brings Bank Machine's ATM network to more than 2,700 machines in the U.K.
"This is a truly excellent contract for Bank Machine," said Ron Delnevo, Bank Machine's managing director. "I'm proud to be associated with such a strong and long-established brand."
