This has to be a pain in the buns for someone in Germany expecting an ATM skimmer. A Bulgarian national traveling to Germany on a bus this week was detained when Bulgarian customs officials discovered disassembled skimmer components in his suitcase, said a news report by the Sofia News Agency.
Two skimmer mouths were concealed in croissants, while other parts were stowed in a medicine container and plastic boxes. The traveller was arrested while attempting to enter Serbia at the Kalotina border crossing, a high-traffic checkpoint near the Bulgarian capital of Sofia.
The man is being detained while authorities investigate the case, the report said.
