BS/2 Kazakhstan, a subsidiary of Penki Kontinentai Group, a Lithuanian company, has entered an agreement with Sberbank to service the FI's unattended devices network, according to a press release.
The Sberbank network, which entered Kazakhstan 11 years ago, comprises 16 subsidiaries and 67 branches throughout the country, and is included among the country's top 5 banks, the release said.
BS/2 and Sberbank have had a business relationship since 2006. During this time, Sperbank has added more than 500 ATMs supplied by BS/2; in early 2017, BS/2's VTM.iQ hardware and software platforms were installed in two Sberbank branches in Astana and Almaty.
The solution allows customers to engage in live video consulting with the bank‘s employees, as well as open and close acounts, check balances, withdraw cash and make deposits, obtain a bank card, exchange currency and paying bills.
"This deal is proof of a high level of our offered services, as BS/2 provides not only specialized hardware and software solutions for banks and other financial institutions, but also services," Gintaras Petkevičius, head of BS/2 maintenance, said in the release. "Servicing a network of more than 1,000 units by BS/2 Kazakhstan, which already serves over 2,600 self-service devices, makes us a market leader."
"[W]e not only regularly expand and modernize the unattended devices’ network, but also strive to make them as accessible to our customers as possible with regard to location logistics, and also within the parameters of maximum technical accessibility," Sberbank Operations Manager Sergei Gubin said in the release. "BS/2 Kazakhstan is one of the leading companies in the field of service of banking equipment — and we are pleased to see it among our partners."
