Guardian Unlimited: Britain is the ATM capital of Europe, according to a new APACS study. Britons make the largest number of ATM withdrawals - 2.7 billion in 2005, or more than 42 per person - of any country in Europe. The U.K. also has the highest density of cash machines when compared to other large EU member states. Britain has 34 million regular ATM users, and that figure is expected to rise to 40 million by 2015.
