BREAKING: Stiller steps down, Heidloff named Wincor's new CEO
November 7, 2006
PADERBORN, Germany - Wincor Nixdorf InternationalAG announced Nov. 8 that its chief executive, Karl-Heinz Stiller, has stepped down from the company's top post. The move is expected to be final Jan. 29, after the company's annual general meeting.
Chief financial officer and deputy CEO, Eckard Heidloff, has been named Stiller's replacement.
Supervisory Board chairman Johannes Huth also is stepping down. Stiller, who is expected to be elected as a new member of the company's advisory board, will likley put his name in the ring for the vacant chair position, the company said.
"As last fiscal year demonstrates, the company is in excellent shape," Stiller said. "In terms of organization and personnel, Wincor Nixdorf is very well poised for a great future - an ideal time for me - I'm due to turn 65 next April - to hand over the reins of the company to younger hands."
