Software voices all transaction processes in Russian or English, depending on choice. Sound support is also provided for the ATM keyboard.

June 5, 2015

RosEvroBank of Russia is collaborating with BPC Processing, a division of BPC Banking Technologies to develop and install a new ATM solution for the visually impaired. The first inline terminal is sited at an All-Russia Association of the Blind location, a press release said.

The ATM features special software that voices all types of transactions and transaction processes in Russian or English, depending on choice. Sound support is also provided for the ATM keyboard.

This type of ATM offering is becoming increasingly important, BPC processing center director Sergey Tereshin said in the release.

"We are very glad to have an opportunity to [provide] our input in development and realization of such a welfare project," he said. "Due to our partnership with RosEvroBank we are able to bring comprehensive banking services to physically challenged people. The ATM script is very easy to use and we are looking forward to [increasing] the amount of these terminals throughout Russia."
