Belgian postal provider outsources ATM ops to Diebold

The postal operator's 450 multivendor ATM fleet has been consolidated under a single software platform for monitoring, maintenance and compliance management.

Belgian Post, the leading postal operator in Belgium, has implemented software from Diebold Inc. across its multi-vendor network of 450 ATMs. Additionally, bpost has outsourced management of its fleet to Diebold, a news release said.

Brussels-based bpost provides a range of postal, courier, direct marketing and electronic services throughout Belgium. Its extensive ATM fleet spans an entire retail network of post offices, post shops, eShop and stamp shops.

As part of the agreement with bpost, Diebold will deliver services that include network monitoring, maintenance and compliance management for the business.

"Partnering with Diebold is helping us better align our internal resources to concentrate on growth and strengthening customer relationships," said Kristof Thys, operations support manager for bpost retail and corporate solutions. "With Diebold managing our self-service channel, our branch representatives will have more time to focus their attention on serving customers' needs rather than servicing ATMs."
