Bawag P.S.K., one of Austria’s largest banks with more than 1.6 million customers, has extended its agreement with Wincor Nixdorf covering operations management for the FI's software platform as well as the management and the maintenance of its self-service systems.
Under the five-year extension, Wincor Nixdorf will maintain approximately 1,200 self-service systems for the bank, in addition to managing and enhancing software used in the self-service delivery channel, according to a press release.
In recent years, Wincor Nixdorf provided the bank with an end-to-end solution of software on the basis of an open, net-centric architecture, state-of-the-art hardware, manufacturer service and the operation of central IT infrastructure.
Wincor Nixdorf PC/E software platform is used to link automated teller machines, cash recycling systems and transaction terminals to the Bawag host system. Components of PC/E software provide a variety of service options PC/E Smart Cash a recent addition that enables customers to withdraw money using a smartphone instead of a bank card.
All Bawag systems are linked to Wincor Nixdorf services infrastructure by the PC/E monitoring software in order to ensure a high level of availability of 250 ATMs, 800 transaction terminals and 165 cash recycling systems, the company said.
