Bank of America has announced that it now has more than 36 million clients using its online and mobile banking offerings. This includes more than 25 million clients who use the bank's mobile app, which continues to add thousands of new users every day, according to a press release.
The bank also announced that Erica, its AI-driven virtual financial assistant, has nearly doubled its user base monthly since its full launch in June, and now claims more than 3 million users. Through August, Erica has assisted with more than 8 million client requests, the release said.
"So far this year, our clients have digitally logged into their accounts more than 4 billion times," BofA head of Digital Banking Michelle Moore said in the release. "As we strive to meet the evolving needs of our clients, we are focused not only on the high-tech delivery of solutions, but also the high-touch aspect of banking to ensure a seamless experience, no matter how our clients choose to engage with us."
The bank said that its Zelle P2P offering is also reaching new milestones. The service now has more than 4 million users who have sent more than $25 billion in Zelle transactions this year.
