Bank of America partnered with Street Child United to launch its IAmSomebody Tour to advocate on behalf of children in underserved areas with sports. It kicked off in Tacoma, Washington, and will make stops in Miami, Toronto, New York and Washington, D.C., according to a press release.

This event takes place every four years alongside the FIFA World Cup to call attention to the stories of around 150 million children who often have issues with housing insecurity or homelessness. The tour began with an Indigenous Youth Soccer Tournament in partnership with the Puyallup Tribe in Tacoma.

"We have seen firsthand the power of soccer in bringing together communities and creating lasting impact. Street Child United is harnessing the power of the world's biggest sporting event to help drive change for millions of street-connected young people around the globe," David Tyrie, president, marketing, digital and specialized consumer client solutions, Bank of America, said in the release.

The tour will end at the United Nations, where leaders will advocate on behalf of street-connected children.
