B of A signs with Pulse for PIN debit

HOUSTON - Pulse EFT Association has reached a new agreement with Bank of America to renew and expand their relationship.
 
According to a news release, Pulse will provide PIN debit network services to the bank's debit cardholders on the West Coast and throughout Texas, New Mexico and Arkansas.  In addition, B of A's Texas ATMs will continue to be a part of Pulse, an ATM and debit network.
 
Pulse also announced that it has signed a deal with a Pennsylvania bank for exclusive PIN debit switching and settlement. Gettysburg, Pa.-based Adams County National Bank, an independent financial institution, has signed a long-term deal with Pulse EFT Association for debit-card transaction switching and settlement.
 
The bank now uses Pulse exclusively for PIN debit purchases and says it plans to introduce a new payment option to select customers through the issuance of Discover debit cards.
 
The bank also uses Pulse for ATM transactions.
