Azerbaijan bank adds contactless capabilities

PASHA Bank announced that it has become the first bank in Azerbaijan to process contactless transactions. According to a press release from the company, it is now capable of acquiring and issuing contactless cards and transactions for both Visa and MasterCard.

According to its website, PASHA Bank operates two offices and four service locations, with a staff of 220 employees.

In the release, PASHA Bank chief operating officer and board member Emil Hajiyev said the bank pays attention to the introduction of new technologies in its market and fully supports initiatives by the government and international institutions to increase the speed of cashless turnover and deepen the country's banking service. Initially the bank will present the technology in fast food restaurants.
